Operations Manager - Australasia

Founded in 2005, MineWare today operates in all the major mining regions worldwide and is proudly part of the Komatsu Group of Companies.

At an exciting time in our business evolution, we are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Operations Manager to lead and grow our Australasian operations team. This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Head Office in Milton.

Reporting to the Regional Vice President Australasia, the Operations Manager is accountable for meeting company expectations for product delivery and operations within the region to achieve MineWare’s business goals and objectives as outlined below.

ROLE OBJECTIVES:

  • Management of the following core business functions:
    • Deployment of new products into customer environments
    • Delivery of onsite service and support for the installed product base
  • Recruiting and retaining high quality resources to deliver the above functions
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement in delivery of the above functions to achieve cost and quality benefits, aligned with MineWare’s goal of being a premium solution provider and trusted advisor to our customers
  • Ensuring all activities throughout the region are undertaken with the highest regard for workplace health and safety and, as a minimum, comply with all MineWare’s and the customer’s policies and procedures

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITES FOR THIS ROLE:

  • Managing the end-to-end process of product delivery including scoping, installation, commissioning, and hand-off, always applying MineWare and general project management disciplines and systems
  • Managing an operations team including project managers and field-based support resources to deliver the business functions within the scope of the role (Field Support, and Engineering Support)
  • Managing any in-region warehousing or inventory management requirements
  • Being familiar with, and ensure complete compliance with all customer project and support obligations including service level agreement conformance
  • Ensuring effective and timely communications across the organisation and to all stakeholders to ensure high levels of visibility of all activities

 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

Experience:

  • 3+ years management experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a relevant field

Practical/Specialist Skills:

  • Project management
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise and organise competing demands
  • Demonstrate quality of good decision making
  • Proven high regard to safety and knowledge of relevant WH&S standards
  • Sound computer skills
  • Exhibit a high regard for cohesive teamwork
