Senior Developer Lead – Brisbane Office

We are seeking a dynamic software developer who is looking to start 2020 in an exciting team focused, leadership role. This is a permanent position that will be based in Milton.

MineWare, a Komatsu company, designs and develops hardware and software products for large earth-moving equipment in the mining industry. Our products combine the latest in electronic sensing devices, machine learning algorithms, and full-stack application development.

We are looking for a highly skilled individual ready to step up into team leadership for one of our .NET development teams. We will support your transition into team leadership as you join a highly-skilled group of electrical/mechanical engineers and .NET software developers. Together we will design and develop new technology products for the mining industry.

The successful applicant

As an experienced developer, you will be a strong communicator and show an innovative approach to challenges. The position reports to our Software Development Manager and the accountabilities include:

  • Supporting and mentoring the team in the development and delivery of quality, fit for purpose software.
  • Analysis, design, development, testing and documentation of MineWare’ s software toolsets and products to internal and customer requirements.
  • Overseeing the handover of software, configuration and functionality to product delivery, customer value and sales teams including documentation and training to assist with installing and updating software, understanding configuration choices and functional scope, features and limitations.

Knowledge, skills and experience

As Senior Software Lead, you will be managing and leading your team technically which requires a strong technical understanding as a base. To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in Full Stack .NET Development and at least
  • 2 years’ experience with SQL Server
  • Practical skills including project management, technical writing, documentation, software testing and quality control
  • An understanding of architectural and design patterns
  • The building and maintenance of continuous integration pipelines
  • Can work in a dynamic team environment
  • Appreciate working autonomously and collaboratively as required
  • Able to show time management and prioritisations skills
  • The enthusiasm to work with people and teams
