Regional Manager - LatAm

MineWare, a Komatsu Technology Group company, is an exciting company with a history of growth and innovation and a global leader of advanced monitoring technology for ground engaging equipment.  Our independent monitoring systems improve the performance and productivity of surface mining operations worldwide in real-time.

Due to our expansion into South America, we are seeking an experienced Regional Manager to develop and lead our passionate team located in Santiago, Chile to manage the LatAm region.

As the Regional Manager for LatAm you will be responsible for:

  • General management of the MineWare  LatAm business unit across  
  • Develop & execute off a regional business plan that align with our global plans, policies, objectives and standards

  • Recruitment, development, management and retention of highly talented staff

  • Leading the regional Sales and Operations teams

  • Management of appointed Komatsu distributors

  • Meeting and exceeding the annual budget

  •  The consistent expansion of the MineWare business within the LatAm region


The primary accountabilities for this position are to:

  •  Ensure all activities conducted with the highest regard to safety & environment
  • Passionately lead & motivate the team to deliver to the best of their ability
  •  Ensuring the expansion of new clients whilst ensuring current clients receive a consistent & high level of customer service
  • Providing regular and effective feedback on activities to the global MineWare Management Group, the regional team and our clients
  •  Ensure all activities are delivered to budget, within agreed time frames & with optimum resourcing
  •  Managing the team within regional legislation and MineWare human resource management policy

Key Skills

  • 5+ years in a senior management leadership role
  • 5+ years in a business development role in value based selling
  • 5+ years’ experience in mining services and/or technology industry
  • A Degree or Certificate in Business Administration or equivalent
  •  Managed an annual budget of at least $10+ Million
  • Good practical knowledge of the mining environment, the challenges faced by our clients, and the application of the MineWare product suite
  •  Proven track record in developing and managing a profitable business unit with consistent year on year growth
  • Ability to make timely business critical decisions autonomously
  •  A track record in attracting and retaining talented staff
  •  Excellent writing and reporting skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills at all levels in an organisation
  • Ability to present at mining industry conferences and industry events
  • Fluent is Spanish and preferably also in Portugese
