As a leading mining industry provider of production monitoring solutions for large mobile mining equipment, we are seeking a motivated and skilled Accounting Administrator to join our fast growing team here in Denver, Colorado.
We are looking for an exceptional individual with both strong accounting and organisational skill to administer our business remotely for both US and Canadian operations.
This person will initially be working from home based in the greater Denver area. They will need to be confident in the independent setup and use of ICT to communicate and manage their day.
This person should be flexible with their working hours, a true self-starter and able to manage/ prioritise a varied workload.
Time will be split between accounting responsibilities and administration needs which will vary based on reporting deadlines and staff requirements throughout the year.
This person would preferably have a tertiary Accounting qualification or have considerable experience in a similar role. This person must be able to demonstrate an understanding of current accounting standards around Revenue Recognition, Accrual Accounting, Transfer Pricing, Intercompany Transactions, FOREX accounting, Asset management and double entry accounting
Knowledge or experience in Lease Accounting and Accounting/Tax standards in Canada will be highly valued.
This person will be fluent in the use of Web Banking platforms, managing online accounts and using ERP accounting software's. Use of secure remote servers will be required to perform this role therefore good internet access will be essential.
You will manage Payrolls for a growing staff in the US and Canada. This will involve excellent record-keeping and management of all related tasks including Health Insurance, W-4 records, Pension Plans and Workers Compensation.
You will support as required the Administrative functions for both US and Canadian entities, meeting the diverse requirements of both management and its staff.
This person will be directly reporting to the Regional Manager for the Americas whilst having a strong relationship with the Global Finance Manager back in Brisbane, Australia.
